Workshop - Back Pack - Full Day

Suitable for beginners, the course will begin with students learning the basic leather skills by firstly learning and practicing how to hand stitch leather. You will learn marking out, choosing appropriate leather, hand saddle stitching and raw edge finishing.

Following this everyone will make one small unlined leather backpack each. You will work from a prepared pattern so everyone's bags will be the same size and shape, however you can choose from our leather to have your own bespoke colour combinations and make small alterations such as changing stitch colour, choosing the buckles, etc. so your finished bag will be unique to you.

Course runs from 10am – 5pm with a break for lunch and tea and cake breaks throughout the day. A packed lunch (from a local tea rooms) and tea and coffee included in the price. The price includes the cost of all leather and fittings used to make your bag.

The workshop costs £140 per person, which you can pay in full by booking here. If you prefer you can pay a £70 deposit to book your place and the £70 balance can be paid on the day of the workshop, if you would like to do this please email sarah@williamshandmade.com

PLEASE NOTE: All deposits and payments in full are strictly non refundable and can not be exchanged to an alternative date within one month of the date of the workshop, except when covid-19 regulations prohibit it, where it will be transferred to an alternative date.
