The aim of Williams Handmade is to use traditional craftsmanship to produce products which are completely original and will challenge the fashion industries view on craft. By utilising historical regional craftsmanship the hope is to increase appreciation for craftsmanship, celebrate British national heritage and illustrate the fact that there needs to be a greater appreciation of cultural diversity and preservation of our local and regional differences. Each piece is produced by hand, using the finest British bridle leather and solid brass fittings.
Williams Handmade was founded in 2010 by Sarah Williams after completing a Masters with Distinction at The London College of Fashion, where she was also awarded the off catwalk collection of the year Award. Since then Williams Handmade has received international awards and received critical acclaim in the press including, Vogue Italia and Harpers Bazaar to name just a few. Williams Handmade has also been chosen to exhibit at London Fashion Week by Fashion East and in the V & A exhibition “Power of Making”.
Williams Handmade continues to develop new collections every year as well as working on bespoke projects for clients.
