Bespoke leather goods, crafted slowly by hand. Leather is the perfect material. You can sculpt it, mould it, shape it and use it for life. At Williams Handmade we make leather goods with a focus on modern design, colour and style. We also share our passion and knowledge at workshops in our Herefordshire studio. Our aim is to create beautiful products, unique experiences and keep leatherwork skills alive.

Description:
Why have a square bag, when it can be curved? Our Black leather curve bag will elevate any outfit adding style, while still being a practical and purposeful.
The bag has a turn lock closure and there is an adjustable and detachable cross body strap so the bag can also be used as a clutch bag. It comes in a cotton dust bag. Free UK postage.

Full grain, vegetable tanned leather, with antique finished metal fittings.

This course is suitable for beginners but is also a great follow up for students who have already attended one of our shorter courses.
The course will begin with students learning the basic leather skills (or refreshing your memory of them) by firstly learning and practicing how to hand stitch leather. You will learn how to mark out and cut leather, hand saddle stitching and edge finishing.
There is a choice of designs which you can make from pre-prepared patterns to make either a clutch bag or an ipad case and you will also choose your leather combination, making the design unique to you. (please note there is not time in this half day workshop to add a long strap to the bag, if you would like to make a bag with a cross body strap please see one of our one day bag making workshops). There is a maximum of 6 people on the workshop.
Course usually runs from 9.30am – 1.30pm (sometimes we finish a little earlier or later). The price includes all materials used, cake and tea and coffee.
The workshop costs £90 per person. If you prefer you can pay a £45 deposit to book your place and pay the £45 balance on the day of the workshop, if you would like to do this, please email sarah@williamshandmade.com
PLEASE NOTE: All deposits and payments in full are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged to an alternative date within one month of the date of the workshop.

OUR WORKSHOPS
Our workshops are all carried out in our beautiful new studio nestled in the Herefordshire countryside. You will be provided with all of the tools and materials you will need to complete your course and under full supervision and guidance by Sarah. We will provide you with refreshments throughout the day.
